This amendment is being issued as indicated in amendment 0001 released 27 Jul 99, to provide additional information and technical clarification as a result of questions received as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation. (a) Reference Drawings AF 740-674-00, Project No. XQPZ954007, sheet 1G05, Interior Electrical Legend. Two (2) symbols have been used to identify CCTV Cameras; the blacked out camera symbol represents a new camera location, which requires a new camera, new conduit and new wire. The transparent camera symbol represents an existing camera location, requires new conduit and wire from existing box and new camera. Symbols are to be interpreted as referenced above unless noted otherwise. (b) Sheet E503 Camera location at East End of room 122 new addition. Camera symbol used is incorrect, correct symbol should indicate new camera. ( c ) Sheet E503 camera at North East end of Room 142 symbol is incorrect. Camera at this location has been deleted. A new Camera is required at the North West corner of the adjacent Room 143. (d) Conduit requirements; It is assumed all wiring will be signal or low voltage power. Since this is a monitoring system as opposed to a security system, full conduit is not required. Wiring in walls, chases and ceilings dosen't require conduit. Wiring exposed on wall or ceiling surfaces, such as from ceiling to camera, shall be enclosed in rigid or flex steel conduit, 12" min. (e) Sheet E504, Room 230, camera symbol is incorrect. Camera located in South side should indicate a new camera at the existing location. (f) Sheet E502, Room 140-Gym. Height of new location North East corner should be 20' above finished floor. Camera symbol at South East corner is incorrect. Should indicate new camera symbol in old location and should be mounted 20' above finished floor. (g) Sheet E502 Room 141 Pool. New camera at North East Corner should be mounted at 15' above finished floor and under soffit. Existing camera symbol at South West corner is incorrect, symbol should indicate new camera at existing location, pressurized. (h) Sheet E502, Room G40, New Gym. Camera symbols are incorrect. Symbol should indicate new camera at locations; cameras should be mounted at 20' above finished floor. (i) Pressurized Enclosures, the number of pressurized enclosures are hereby changed to read 2 ea in lieu of 4 and located in pool area. (j) Camera Enclosures. The number of enclosures required is hereby changed to read 6 enclosures are required. Areas which require enclosures are 2 in pool; pressurized, and 2 in each gym; protected. (k) All camera lenses are to be selected by contractor for optimum lighting, distance covered, viewing angle and resolution for both monitor and recording purposes. (l) Pressurized camera housings; two units are required and they are located in the pool area. (Ref. Sheet E503). (m) Protective camera enclosures. Four are required; Two in room 140 and two in G40. (Ref. Sheet E502). (n) Camera power supply. An approved alternate method shall be a single power supply for all cameras, to be run in with signal cable between the cameras and the control room. (o) All existing cameras mentioned in the solicitation requiring removal, have been removed; therefore the solicitation is hereby changed to read zero cameras require removal existing components are to be used if possible. (p) The beginning performance date of this contract is hereby changed to read on or about 13 Aug 1999. Contractor must have adequate resources to begin and complete the electrical wiring portion of this contract within the time allowed by the General Contractor assigned to the overall construction project.
