Orders will be issued under a requirements, indefinite delivery type contract to satisfy the Government's rental needs. Orders may be issued for equipment rentals during the period of 01 Sep 1999 thru 31 Aug 2000, with an option year of 01 Sep 2000 thru 31 Aug 2001. The quantities are the Government's best estimates. Rental is 300 CFM Oil Free Air Compressor, SPECIFICATION FOR ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN, OIL FREE COMPRESSOR Motor 75 HP, 460 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 Cycle, starting amps to be under 200 amps, running amps to be under 85 amps at compressor output of 100 PSI, the starter is to be a pre-wired, Y-Delta, closed transition type. The motor to be suited for outdoor operation in 0 degrees F temperatures without the need for additional shelter. The motor is to be air cooled. The compressor is to deliver 300 CFM with a maximum working pressure of 125 PSIG at approximately 25 degrees F, deliver 100% oil free air, be equipped with an integral after cooler, enclosed in a weather proof enclosure and suitable for outdoor operation in 0 degrees F temperatures without the need for additional shelter. The unit is to be air cooler. The package is to include a refrigerant type air dryer using 460 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 cycle, provide a pressure dew point of 34-38 degrees F, and be sized to be compatible with the operation of the above assembly. The package is to include a 150 CU Ft, skid mounted, ASME certified horizontal air receiver with safety valves. The package shall contain interconnecting air hoses to connect the compressor to the accessories. The package shall be portable and easily moved by Forklift or overhead crane without special handling gear. The contractor shall clearly indicate with weight of the unit and center of gravity. The package shall contain 50 ft lengths of cable for electrical components. All spare parts, air and fuel filters and maintenance are to be provided at no additional charge. The system components shall be fully assembled and ready for operation. All components shall be mounted on a rigid metal frame capable of being moved by forklift/overhead crane. Equipment shall be mounted on four (4) wheels with a trailer hitch for ease of movement short distances by a small tow vehicle. Service shall be provided within 24 hours after notification by Contracting Officer and/or his/her representative. In the event the machine cannot be returned to service within 48 hours of notification, a replacement shall be delivered at no additional charge to the Government. The contractor shall maintain a stringent maintenance program. The compressor(s) to be shipped to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth NH; Subbase New London, Groton, CT and/or Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Norfolk VA. FOB Destination. Because of vendor access to the shipyards, no person not know to be an American citizen of good standing and repute shall be eligible for access.Proof of citizenship may be required.
