CENTER, lpope@psc.gov. The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment
Center/SAMHSA through the General Acquisition Branch, Program Support
Center plans to award a sole source Simplified Acquisition to Children
and Family Futures, Inc. The period of performance is six months. A
Technical Assistance Publication Guide shall be produced that guides
State policy makers and service agencies in developing policies and
procedures to more effectively respond to substance abuse treatment
needs among the parents and prevention/intervention needed for their
children, for families involved with the child welfare system. State
child welfare and alcohol and otehr drugs agencies shall be contact and
their state models nominated for more in-depth discussion including how
their models are implemented. Several state models will be selected for
the Contractor to meet on site with them to gather further information.
A report shall be developed that will discuss the changes in child
welfare laws, and their implications for parents with alcohol and drug
problems. In-depth descriptions of the case studies using a "how we
did it" approach shall be done. The anticipated award date is August
