necessary to perform dockside and repairs including but not limited to
the following items: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Watertight and Non
Watertight Doors, (3) Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems and Overhaul
Designated Electric Motors, (4) Renew Potable Water Head Tank, (5)
Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Buoy Handling Equipment (Level 2), (6)
Overhaul 2 Air Winches, (7) Overhaul and Test Port and Starboard Boat
Davits, (8) Install and Test Pad Eyes and Links (9) Preserve Buoy Deck,
(10) Provide Temporary Logistics, and (11) Provide Additional Temporary
Logistics, The Vessel is a 133 Foot Coastal Buoy Tender. Vessel's
homeport is located in New Orleans, LA. The performance period for this
vessel is twenty-eight (28) calendar days beginning on or about 22
November 1999. The place of performance is the vessel's homepier. All
reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 600, Norfolk, Va 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $100.00
is required in the form of a certified check or money order made
payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This
procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program.
All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the
subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
about 13 August 1999. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
