R -- PROVIDE NON-PERSONAL SERVICES -- PROGRAM AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE GROUND WEAPONS DIRECTORATE SOL M67854-94-C-2130 POC Jeff Campbell, Phone 703-784-5822 ext.234 or Fax 703-784-5826 The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to modify contract M67854-94-C-2130 with Acquisition Logistics Systems (ALS), Inc., 18130 Triangle Shopping Plaza, Dumfries, VA, 22026, to increase the Level of Effort by 40,000 man-hours for an extended period of performance of 1 OCT 99 through 30 SEP 00. The increase in Level of Effort and extended period of performance is necessary to continue support without a break in service while a recompetition is being conducted. This modification is required to continue essential support services without interruption for numerous and diversified MARCORSYSCOM Ground Weapons (CBG) programs until a new contract is awarded. ALS is the only source with the in-depth knowledge of CBG programs and the expertise needed to continue work in progress on time sensitive programs, and avoid the schedule delays and cost increases due to a new contractor's learning curve.
