Department of Veterans Affairs Consolidated Mailout Pharmacy located in
North Charleston, South Carolina is requesting proposals for mail
handling support. It is the intent of the Government will award a one
year contract with two option years available. Staffing must be
available to man the automated mail stations at all times and coverage
must be provided for any absences. The staffing must have the ability
to read, must be 18 years old, a high school graduate and have the
ability to stand long periods, lift, twist, and stoop. The number of
employees will be 20 employees per shift, Monday through Friday, 40
hours per week and overtime will be mandatory when needed. Packaging
requirements are a minimun of 800 per shift. They must have the ability
to use bar code scanner and manual dexterity to manipulate totes on and
off belt and seal packages. Bid packages will be available on July 30,
1999 by written request. There will be a limited number available.
Proposals will be due by 2:00pm local time onabove date. Posted
