The work to be performed includes the following principal features: Provide all labor and materials required to renovate the auditorium located in Building 730, Fort Sill, OK. Base bid item includes the following: Install the maximum number of new cloth upholstered theater seating. Remove all wall and floor mounted heating units. Install new carpeting throughout seating area and stage proper. Install new house lighting, directional stage lights and control. Repair existing air distribution devices. Install new wall and ceiling finishes. Prepare and paint spiral stairs. Install new doors and hardware. Seating accommodations shall be made for handicapped. Optional bid items are as follows: (1) Install fixed steps at each side of stage with non-intrusive handrails. (2) Expand the entryway. (3) Apply new acoustic treatments. (4) Install accent lighting and controls. (5) Apply decorative treatment at side wall offsets. The Contractor shall submit fully dimensioned scale drawings indicating the layout of thenew seats, the handicapped seating area and the layout of the new stage steps. The Government will remove existing seating, doors, carpet and paneled wall finishes prior to commencement of work. The Contractor shall be required to complete all work within 60 calendar days after the date of receipt by him of notice to proceed. Estimated issue date is 6 Aug 99.
