Sealed bids will be accepted from all eligible business concerns for the Colonial National Historic Park Project PRA-COLO 19A2, in Williamsburg City and York and James City Counties, Virginia. The project consists of reconstructing the Jamestown Island loop roads and bridges and the Newport Avenue ramps; rehabilitating the Yorktown tour roads; reconstructing the Jamestown Island Entrance Road; cleaning and painting the Williamsburg Tunnel; reconstructing and placing surface treatment on 0.5 kilometers of the Colonial Parkway from Yorktown Creek to VA Route 238; repairing concrete slabs; constructing bridge approach slabs; and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway excavation, 3,100 m3; Unclassified borrow, 4,500 m3; Aggregate-topsoil course, 5,300 t; Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Class C, Grading VA SM-2A, 12,000 t; Single course asphalt surface treatment, 224,000 m2; Reinforced portland cement concrete pavement, 175 mm depth, 6,300 m2; Treated structural timber and lumber, 350 m3; Surface preparation and painting, steel structure (3 structures), Lump Sum.
