M -- LOGISTIC SUPPORT FACILITY (LSF) The PEO Aviation received an unsolicited proposal which offers to maintain the capability of an Aviation Logistics Support Facility (LSF). The LSF will perform requirements that can not be currently fulfilled by the Aviation Public or Private Sector. The primary focus of this contractual action will be to provide a rapid response to critical system requirements capability, principally in support of legacy and low density systems which have little, if any, organic or commercial support. Additionally, this capability is intended to maintain the government's ability to accomplish it's mission with diminished manpower/financial resources, without relinquishing management control of mission area programs, capabilities, competencies and/or resources. The LSF will provide a full spectrum of Aviation Mission Area support in the following areas: aviation logistics, technical, systems engineering, design, integrated logistics, and training support services. The LSF will provide the capability to accomplish limited repair, modification, and integration of aviation and aviation related systems and sub-systems.
