of Commerce Presents: Chemical Weapons Convention Kickoff Seminar for
the Chemical and Related Industries DATE: Thursday, September 9, 1999
WHERE: Washington Room, 10th Floor, Hotel Washington 515 15th Street at
Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
(registration at 8 a.m.) The Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC)
regulations impact U.S. companies that produce, process, consume,
import, or export certain organic/inorganic chemicals. The Department
of Commerce, in cooperation with the Department of State, will host a
complimentary CWC Kickoff Seminar targeted for industry executives and
representatives in Washington, DC on September 9. Assistant Secretary
for Export Administration R. Roger Majak and other U.S. Government
officials will address the following CWC-related topics during the
half-day seminar: CWC regulations CWC Amendment to the Export
