The Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge Operations Office (ORO) at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, requires a firm to provide leased commercial radio pagers and paging services. The paging service shall include a combination of local and wide area numeric and alphanumeric pagers, which must accommodate both alphanumeric and numeric pages in the same group calls, and nationwide numeric and alphanumeric pagers. The paging service shall include Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol (TAP) compliant connectivity for subsmission of alphanumeric pages from ORO's existing modem based software package (Beepsmart), as well as internet based pager message entry into the seller's paging system. The pager service must operate within a 50 mile radius of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and be operational in all reas and buildings on the Oak Ridge Reservation, i.e., Federal Building, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Y-12, and East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). ORO proposes to lease approximately 500 pagers initially with the option to lease an additional 200 units. The paging units should be belt mounted/clip model. The lease is anticipated for a 12-month period with 4 options of 12 months each.
