contract the dockside and repairs of USCGC STORIS (WMEC 38), a 230'
medium endurance cutter, homeported in Kodiak, Alaska. All work shall
be at the cutter home moorage during the period of 12 October 1999 and
complete 26 November 1999. Work items to include; replace windlass
room locker longitudinal, stack deck sealing, sewage system tanks
cleaning and inspection, potable water tank clean and inspect and
sounding tube replacements, watertight scuttle renewals, main
propulsion generator pedestal bearing replacement, main motor electric
blower overhaul, motor surf boat davit electrical motor overhaul,
sluice valve replacement, motor surf boat davit overhaul and test,
allied D5000CT single point davit overhaul, galley oven replacement,
incinerator refractory and insulation renewal, temporary services,
potable water tank preservation (partial, sewage tank preservation
(partial). Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about
08/04/99. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources
may submit a offer, which will be considered by this agency. For

Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and

under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest
