The US Army CECOM is planning to acquire the Full-Rate Production of the following Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) 2nd Generation Foward Looking Infrared (FLIR) Systems: the M1A2 Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV), the M1A2 Thermal Imaging System (TIS), and the HTI NV-80 B-Kit in support of the Bradley A3 Improved Bradley Acquisition System (IBAS), the Commander's Independent Viewer (CIV) and the Long-Range Advanced Scout Surveillance Suite (LRAS3). The HTI 2nd Generation FLIR System is an 8-12 micron scanning system which utilizes a Standard Advanced Dewar Assembly (SADA) II detector which will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM). Two (2) sole source, multi-year, firm-fixed price contracts are anticipated. This announcement is for the anticipated non-competitive negotiations with Raytheon Systems Company for 183 M1A2 CITVs and 317 HTI NV-80 B-Kits. Contract award is projected for December 1999 with first deliveries beginning September 2000.
