The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for the procurement of approximately five (5) Advanced Tactical Air Reconnaissance System (ATARS) Pallets (or such other procurement quantities as Congress may authorize and fund) for Low Rate Initial Production III. This procurement also includes conversion kits, modification kits, integrated logistics support management, sustaining engineering, contractor maintenance support services and other related aircraft integration support and equipment. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the ATARS pallets.
