General Services Administration's Management Services Center recently
announced the first in a series of symposia designed to help Federal
managers deal with the difficult issues of today through the use of
streamlined procurement methods provided by Federal Supply Schedules.
The Management Services Center is hosting a 2 day symposium on
Privatization and Competitive Sourcing on August 5-6 at the Bell Harbor
Convention Center, located on the Elliott Bay waterfront in downtown
Seattle, WA. The symposium is designed to provide an opportunity to
hear from privatization policy-makers in both the civilian and military
domains and will include detailed "case study" presentations by federal
and industry partner teams describing, in detail, their experiences
(both good and bad) in navigating the privatization and/or A-76
process. This update is being published to announce the confirmed
attendance and participation of Ms. Deidre Lee, Administrator of the
Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP). Ms. Lee will give the
keynote address at the Friday session of the symposium. Don't miss an
