Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following: (a) Development of Scott
Carpenter Station Exhibit; (b) MARS Program Coordination and Interface
including material and periodic newsletter development and mailings;
(c) Integration and installation of Scott Carpenter Station Exhibit at
Annual Conference in Tampa, FL; (d) MARS Program Coordination
including development and integration of MARS schools payloads; and (e)
Scott Carpenter Station Exhibit Coordination including retrieval of
exhibit from annual conference and providing program information
following the conference. This procurement is being conducted under the
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase
the items from Scitek Communications, 328 Lake Avenue, Suit 216B,
Maitland, FL 32751-6387. Scitek is the sole-source provider and has the
expertise available to immediately begin the development of Scott
Carpenter Station Exhibit including the integration, installation and
coordination of this exhibit. The Government intends to acquire a
commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 5 days from
the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified
point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such
qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of
determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive
basis. Responses received after the 5 days or without the required
information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will
not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete
this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this
notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be
considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet
