Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Center for Food Safety and
Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), and the FDA Medical Libraries has a
requirement for a serials vendor to handle the consolidated serials
acquisition contract. The requirement shall include the placement of
new and renewal subscriptions to single or multiple addressees for
domestic and foreign serials in electronic and print formats. The
Request for Proposal (RFP) will specify requirements and deliverables
expected from a vendor to handle a serials contract with more than
2,500 titles including electronic access to serials titles when
available. The solicitation will only be available on the FDA web page
at http://www.fda.gov/oc/ofacs/contracts. Prospective offers are
responsible for downloading the solicitation and amendments. These
documents will be in portable document format (pdf). A link to the free
downloadable Adobe Acrobat Reader software will be available at the
same site. RFP shall be available on or about August 5, 1999. It is the
offeror's responsibility to monitor the FDA web page for the release of
the solicitation and amendments. The FDA has the right to make an award
without discussions. Technical questions shall be received not later
