Library of Medicine to purchase service from an authorized Tate Access
Floor Dealer to provide a sturdy and structurally secure, raised Tate
Access Floor and platforms for NLM's largest computer facility for
several pieces of heavy computer equipment. This floor must be able to
support the movement of heavy computer equipment. In addition, the
floor should be able to support and provide visitors and employees with
a safe passage way throughout the facility. The new tiles must be
Tate's ASN1000 (2'" square) all steel panels, with 1/8" high pressure
laminate. The color of these tiles should be ST-2-Beige Starlite.
Sixty-five (65) of the panels must be perforated airflow access floor
panels so that proper airflow throughout the facility is maintained.
Any required special cutout in panels for existing computer equipment
cables must also be provided. NLM will move any furniture that may
hinder or otherwise be in the way of installation for floor
replacement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
notice annoucement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is
being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Posted
