Y -- The project consists of construction of a flood control levee and diversion channel. The levee will require about 190,000 cubic yards of fill and channel excavation will consist of about 170,000 cubic yards. The balance of material will come from other project excavation and contractor provided off-site sources. Other project work consists of installing an outlet structure and interior drainage canal, clearing and grubbing, degrading of an existing agricultural levee and turfing. The levee will be constructed immediately outside of the coastal communities of Punta Santiago and Verde Mar. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
