Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the North Carolina Forest Highway Project NC PFH 75-1(1), Nantahala National Forest, Cherokee County, North Carolina. The project consists of removing and replacing the existing bridge over Valley River located along North Carolina Service Road 1390. The work also includes grading, paving, drainage work, guardrail installation, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Unclassified excavation: 150 m3; Borrow Excavation: 375 m3; Aggregate base course, Type A: 625 metric tons; Asphalt concrete: 300 metric tons; 914mm by 533mm prestressed concrete cored slabs: 494 m; Class AA concrete: 64 m3; and 508mm prestressed concrete piles: 300 m The project is expected to fall within the price range of $500,000 and $1,000,000.
