Sealed bids from all eligible business concerns will be accepted for the Cickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park Project PRA-CHCH 27(6), in Walker and Catoosa County, Georgia. The project consists of construction of the limited access U.S. Route 27 Battlefield Bypass from Lafayette Road to State Route 2 and reconstruction of State Route 2. The project work includes roadway excavation, placement of aggregate base and hot asphalt concrete pavement, construction of double bridges over State Route 2, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway excavation, 690,000 CUYD; Aggregate base, grading C or D, 52,000 Tons; Superpave asphalt concrete pavement, 10-30 ESAL, 35,000 Tons; Portland Cement Concrete curb and gutter, 13,000 LNFT; Steel H-piles, 4300 m; Precast prestressed concrete structural members, I-beams, AASHTO type 4, 820 m; Structural Concrete, 1,100 m3; and Reinforcing Steel, 170,000 kg.
