project consists of design and construction of four retaining walls to
stabilize the Salmon River Road and the bank of the Salmon River in
the Deadwater reach. The four walls will have a combined length of 230
m. The fill slope will be reconstructed and any pavement disturbed
during construction will be patched. The entire segment from the
beginning of the first wall through the end of the last wall will then
be overlayed with a 75 mm lift of hot asphalt concrete. The project
site may be reached by driving west from North Fork, Idaho, along the
Salmon River Road (#60030) approximately 3.5 miles. Estimated price is
between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated start work date is October
12, 1999, with completion time of 60 days. Requests for the
