The Internal Revenue Service intends to procure meeting space and hotel accomadations on a sole source basis with the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Wyndham Garden Hotel. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This requirement includes a fixed contract for hotel lodging, catering, meeting space, and audio visual equipment for the Internal Revenue Service, Taxpayer Advocate Meeting in the Kansas City, MO area for an eleven (11) day period, August 3 to August 13, 1999. Requirements include: 1) Rooms Not to Exceed the government rate -- five (5) rooms for August 3 to August 6; two hundred twenty-five (225) rooms for August 8; two hundred seventy-five (275) rooms for August 9 to August 12 and; ten (10) rooms for August 13; 2)Meeting room space shall accomodate 275 people in table set-up of rounds of six (6) for August 9 and August 13; 3) Breakout rooms shall accomodate approximately 30 people in classroom set-up for the following days -- seven (7) breakout rooms for August 11, eight (8) breakout rooms for August 12, four (4) breakout rooms for August 13; 4) Audio-visual services; 5) Provide refreshments for awards ceremony on August 9 for approximately 250-300 people. In order to be considered for award, hotels must be able to provide, at a minimum all meeting space at one location, and additional lodging within a 1 mile radius of the host hotel. Other considerations: proximity to a major airport, public transportation available to the facilities, and diversified, adequate and reasonable food service must be available on-site and/or within the walking distance.
