The work involves new acoustical ceilings, floor quarry tile, freezer
renovations, enhancement of the existing make-up air system to include
several new mechanical units and an upgrade of the electrical system as
related to their specific functions of the kitchen and culinary arts.
The period of performance from N.T.P. to substantial completion is 150
days. The estimated cost range of construction is between $250,000 to
$500,000. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about July
28, 1999, ONLY from the office of Pape, Cole & Associates, 106 W.
Campbell Avenue, Roanoke, Virginia 24011. Contact Mr. Dave Cole at

Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for
plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed
above to ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must be in
writing and a $100 bid deposit is required which is refundable when
plans and specifications are returned in good condition. The bid
deposit must be in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or
money order and made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and
submitted to Pape, Cole & Associates at the time of request. All
requests will be answered on a first-come, first serve basis until
supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is
exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of
reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting
Officer) plus a shipping charge based on individual request (if
applicable) will be required in order to obtain the documents. A
Pre-Bid walk-thru is scheduled for August 16, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. local
time. The Bid Opening Date is August 31, 1999, at 9:00 a.m. local time.
This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Acquisition. The Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 1711 with
