The work for this project shall consist of total renovation of Building 621 and incidental repairs at Building 620, which includes, but is not limited to, replacing HVAC system; currently steam heat from hospital boiler plant and window air conditioners; renovating common laundry room and storage room; replacing exterior doors and windows with double glazed commercial aluminum units; redesigning entry door arrangements including porches and sidewalks; replacing deteriorated wood siding and trim and repaint; replacing roof; re-establish positive drainage around building including replacement of settled sidewalks and basic landscaping; refinishing interiors including new window shades; installing NG supply piping; replacing street lights; replacing electrical service; installing employee restroom in basement, performing all demolition indicated on plans, constructing/replacing concrete footings, regrading earth surrounding building, painting interior and exterior. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation in performance of work for this project. The proposed contract will be firm fixed price with a performance period of 224 days from contract start date. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this procurement is 1522. The small business size standard is $17 Million. The anticipated issue date of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) is on or about 29 Jul 99, with a bid opening date on or about 29 Aug 99.
