Corps Enrollee Support Contract -- Sources Sought. The purpose of this
synopsis is to obtain information about potential qualified small
business sources capable of providing assistance to satisfy the
Department of Labor/Employment and Training Administration's minimum
needs with respect to providing (1) counseling and support services to
Job Corps students who are potential dropouts from the Job Corps
program, (2) placement and post-placement services to former Job Corps
students, (3) placement verification of former Job Corps students'
placements submitted by placement coordinators, and (4) student
transportation management assistance/oversight at approximately 56 Job
Corps centers and 10 regional offices nationwide. The SIC code shall
be 8744 with a $5 million size standard. The period of performance
shall be twelve (12) months from the date of execution plus for 1-year
options at the government's discretion. The potential estimated total
dollar amount for the contract is approximately $4 million annually.
Interested sources must clearly demonstrate the ability to manage and
administer a nationwide network of volunteers in both urban and rural
areas, who shall promote community connections to encourage applicant
referral and to enhance employer and community knowledge and support of
the Job Corps program. Interested sources should also demonstrate
knowledge of the new Workforce Investment Act, particularly pertaining
to Youth Programs. Interested qualified sources are invited to submit
a Statement of Capability (SOC), not-to-exceed 10 pages in length
within fifteen day of this publication. The SOC should demonstrate the
interested source's experience in coordination, monitoring, overseeing
and proving the necessary administrative, management, support services
to accomplish performance of transmittal support services. The
incumbent contractor is Joint Action in Community Services, Inc., 5225
Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Suite 404, Washington, D.C. 20015. Responses
to this synopsis must be in writing, no telephonic inquiries will be
accepted. Responses must include the SOC and must reference both the
