A rotating axis lifting device (grabber) is needed to lift cylindrical containers that are approximately 22.5 inches in diameter and 33 inches tall. The grabber will lift the cylindrical container from a vertical position rotate it 90 and lay it down in a horizontal position (and vice versa). The following specifications will apply: capability to lift containers as large as 36 inches in diameter and 48 inches tall, rated capacity of 6000 lbs, meet or exceed the requirements ANSI B30.20, Below-The-Hook Lifting Devices, manual operation (no motors), rotate 90 in either direction from the vertical position, mechanical stops at each end of its 90 rotation to prevent the load from being inverted, grip the container by means of an acme screw shaft and nut actuated by a hand wheel, grip ratio of 5, replaceable gripping pads lined with an appropriate material to provide maximum friction for holding a smooth steel waste container and have capability to be stored off a crane.
