The work includes repair existing piles, pile caps, beams, slabs and other structural member to allow the foundation to support the applied structural loadings associated with the upgrade of the landship. The pier supporting the landship is approximately 55 ft by 250 ft. Remove existing 50-ton boom, kingpost and winches serving Hold No. 1 and replace with a Hagglunds crane configured to serve two cargo holds. Proivde a cargo hold north of Hold No. 1 configured for LOLO of 20 and 40-foot containers. Provide cell guides for four rows of containers stacked three high. Provide RORO capability for vehicles listed in the referenced study. The RORO facility is to include a stern ramp and side ramp to the existing roadway and a side ramp on the waterside to load vehicles onto floats or landing craft. Prepare existing surfaces as required and repaint the landship. Assume all existing paint is lead-based. Project includes abatement hazardous materials including asbestos, lead-based paint and other hazardous material containing materials. Magnitude of project is estimated bewteen $1,000,000.00 and $4,000,000.00. Duration of the project is eighteen (18) months. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. SIC CODE 1629 applies.
