Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in
accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation,
supplemented with information included in this notice. This
solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses at FAR 52.213-4 Terms
and Conditions -- Simplified Acquisitions (Other Than Commercial
Items) (FEB 1998), and any others that are applicable and in effect
through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense
Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors responsibility to be
familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. No RFQ will be
prepared or made available for distribution. While price will be a
significant factor in the evaluation of offers, award will be based on
responsive, responsible, technically acceptable offers received in
response to this CBD advertisement.. Competitive awards may be based on
the evaluation criteria stipulated in the Red, Yellow, Green (RYG)
Contractor Evaluation System. The evaluation criteria is available upon
request. Specifications are as follows: Item # 0001,Uninterruptible
power distribution unit, qty: 1 EA, see below specifications; Item
#0002, Battery pack system with 15 minute backup power, qty: 1 EA, see
below specifications; Item #0003, Installation of new power units to
include de-installation, removal, and disposal of existing units and
batteries, qty: 1 EA, see below specifications. Specifications for
Uninterruptible Power System (UPS)This purchase request is for a new
Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) to replace an existing system. The
UPS distributes conditioned power to our Software Development Labs. The
critical load is powered by an inverter, which obtains its power from
a battery backup system in the event of a utility power outage. This
system is required to provide reliable power distribution 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year. The minimum specifications for this unit are as
follows: 1. Minimum 150kVA / 120kW, rated 60 Hz Uninterruptible Power
System (UPS) 2. All bussbars, wiring and transformers shall be made of
copper. 3. Input Voltage -- 480 VAC, 3 Phase, 3 Wire plus ground 4.
Output Voltage -- 480 VAC, 3 Phase, 3 Wire plus ground 5. Input
Harmonic Filter / Power Factor Correction 6. External Maintenance
Bypass 7. Remote Alarm Summary Panel 8. Power Monitoring System 9.
Battery Pack System (expandable) -- 15 Minutes at 120kW 10. Battery
Monitoring System 11. Seismic mounted components, in NEMA Type I
enclosures 12. Year 2000 Compliant Installation for the above unit to
include the following: Install maintenance bypass; Demo, remove and
dispose of existing 60 Hz UPS and batteries; Remove unused
power/battery wiring conduit; Install new UPS; Connect input and output
feeders Connect controls and alarms; Install and attach battery
components; Maintain space habitability. Interested parties are invited
