100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure
through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code
2819; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Furnish
approximately 2,000 to 8,500 tons of dry alum (aluminum sulfate)
purified ground, in bulk, suitable for use as a coagulant in the
purification of municipal water supplies. Also, furnish liquid alum
(water soluble aluminum) for a minimum of 0 tons to a maximum 4,000
tons, 17% AL203 by dry weight ton, shall contain water-soluble aluminum
of not less than 8.25% +/- 0.1%. Contract is for a one year period
beginning 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000. The total estimated
amount is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.0-0. All responsi-ble
sources may submit a bid which shall be consid-ered by the agency. In
order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all
contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration
(CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial
