transportation and supervision required for repainting of Tinicum Rear
Range Light, USCG Aids to Navigation Team Philadelphia, Paulsboro, NJ.
Major work items include: Completely clean and prepare the surface of
the lighthouse to accept coating system. Use solvents and hand and
power tools to prepare surfaces. Contain and dispose of debris. Apply
a two component aliphatic polyurethane system to all exterior surfaces
of the lightouse. Two coats of the coating system shall be applied to
attain specified thickness. Polyurethane coatings shall be applied as
recommended by manufacturer. Cleaning and painting of damaged and
corroded areas shall be included. Replace upper handrail sections
located at the lantern level. Fabricate and install starter sleeves at
the connections beteween rail sections and stanchions. Repair
corrosion damage along the eave of the internal foundation level
building. All bending, shaping and installation of patching steel and
sealing along patching steel edges is included. Unit item will be for
disposal of paint debris as lead containing material. This procurement
is estimated between $25K and $100K and is open to large and small
businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive
Demonstration Program. The applicable SIC Code is 1721. Bid opening is
on/about 8/19/99. Completion time is 90 DANTP. The bid opening date is
approximate. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Written requests will be accepted
until the supply is exhausted. A non-refundable deposit of $10.00 is
required in the form of a company check, cashier's check, certified
check, or money order made payable to "U. S. Coast Guard." Cash WILL
