The Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), plans to award a sole
source simplified acquisition to Families U.S.A. foundation. The
contractor, using data from the Midlife Development in the U.S.
database, shall assess and compile data regarding the unmet mental
health needs of adults, children, the elderly, individuals with
co-occurring disorders, and persons involved with the juvenile and
criminal justice system, and prepare a final report on the unmet need
for mental health services across the Nation. The proposed contract
action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to
solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR
6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability
to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. No solicitation
will be issued. A determination by the government not to compete this
proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the
purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
