The Information Management and Telecommunications (IM&T) for the Pentagon Renovation Program requires various passive telecommunications supplies used in standard installation of telecommunications equipment. Examples of the types of equipment that is required follows: connectors, wire management, fiber distribution centers, patch panels, fiber optic cable, copper cable, cabinets and accessories, cable ties, latch ducts, patch cords, testing equipment, and Sumitomo air blown fiber equipment. All equipment will be brand-name or equivalent with the exception of all Sumitomo supplies, which must be brand-name only. Offerors will be required to provide technical specifications or literature for all non-brand name items proposed. Equipment will be evaluated on its technical capability to meet the government's needs. The government reserves the right to request demonstrations of any proposed items. Offerors must propose (1) all the Sumitomo products, (2) all the non-Sumitomo products, or (3) all products. The government intends to award up to two fixed-price IDIQ contracts to the offeror(s) whose proposal is/are deemed most advantageous to the government on a best value basis. Evaluation factors will include past performance, technical capability of the supplies offered, cost, and subcontracting goals. The request for proposals (RFP) will be available on the website listed below on or about 21 Jul 1999. NO HARD OR SOFT COPIES OF THE RFP OR ANY AMENDMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
