procurement is Unrestricted. The SIC Code is 1629. Estimated cost of
construction is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Completion no
later than 145 calendar days. Work consists of maintenance dredging of
the Potomac River at Alexandria and Hunting Creek Channel, below
Washington. Approximately 900,000 cu. Yds of fine grain material will
be mechanically dredged and transported to an open water placement site
at Gunston Cove. Optional Item: Additional maintenance dredging at the
Mattawoman channel. Full size plans and specs (6) $21.50 p/set; half
size plans and specs (6) $17.75 p/set. Non-Refundable. Make company
check or money order payable to USAED-BALTIMORE. (NO CASH ACCEPTED).
Contractors are encouraged to provide their FederalExpress only at the
time of request or have them picked up. Issuance o/a 16 July 1999. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the
agency. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting
plan. The subcontracting goals are 25% for small business, 5% for small
disadvantaged business, 5% for women owned small business and 1% for
Hubzone small businesses. The subcontracting plan does not have to be
submitted at bid opening. In order to comply with the Debt Collection
Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the
Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a
Federal contract. The initial registration date expired 31 May 1998.
