The USDA, ARS, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) for two (2) Aquaculture Thermal Reduction Equipment (chilling units) for use to maintain water conditions for coldwater fish species. Flow capacity and cooling required -- 20 GPM chilled from 22C to 12C plus accounting for latent heat loss and heat of compensation. Redundancy in condensing units to safeguard against system failure. An enclosed shell and tube chiller with titanium heat exchanger. Single unit construction. Installation, setup, and training shall be provided at Stuttgart, AR. F.O.B. Destination, Stuttgart, AR. The required delivery date for these systems is 90 days after receipt of notice to proceed. A solicitation will be issued on July 2, 1999.
