New construction consisting of a primary facility of 172,000 S.F. and warehouse facility of 18,000 S.F. The primary facility is constructed of concrete masonry units with steel framed construction and consists of drill hall space, administrative offices, classrooms, kitchen, indoor rifle range, supply rooms with vaults, warehouse and Organizational Maintenance Shop. Support functions include restrooms, locker rooms, mechanical and storage spaces, operations and miscellaneous services typical to a military facility. The metal framed warehouse is joined to and is a part of the overall building and includes a covered loading dock with equipment, security caging, vault, carpentry shop with hoist, overhead doors, an administrative area, restrooms, and locker rooms. The facility will be constructed on Federal property adjacent to Fort William Henry Harrison, Helena, Montana. Site Work includes extension and installation of all site services, site drainage, fire protection, and stabilization of site located utilities. Includes parking, curb and gutter, lighting, fencing and security provisions, loading docks, landscaping, and sidewalks. Project includes a series of equipment compounds for storage and maintenance of military equipment, with asphalt and concrete surfacing, access roads, and gates. The estimated magnitude of the proposed construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 with a completion period of 30 months. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542 with a size standard of $17.0 million. Bid documents are anticipated to be available on or about 30 days from the date of this notice. Only written requests for bid documents accompanied by a check in the amount of $210.00 will be accepted. Make check or money order payable to the State of Montana and mail to the Contracting Officer at the address shown above. This is a nonrefundable charge. All requests must indicate business size and minority status. Bid documents will be available for use at no cost in the office of the Contracting Officer, after release of solicitation.
