Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is doing a
market survey/sources to identify potential sources to provide a
Central Forms and Supplies Storage Facility and Distribution Management
Operation. The contractor shall store, manage, and distribute agency,
departmental and standard Forms, Speciality Items, and Office-Type
Supplies to 4,000+ locations throughout the U.S. and U.S. Territories
from one central location. FSIS is interested in obtaining information
related to the requirement and of sources preferably within the
Washington, DC Metropolitan are. The requirements shall include a
warehouse facility, a computerized inventory management system,
computerized ordering system to allow electronic ordering and access
from off-site customers, Print-On-Demand capabilities for forms. The
ordering system shall be an "on-demand" system -- customers order items
as needed. All routine incoming orders would need to be turned around
within 4 working days; rush orders would require a 2-day turn-around,
and up to 20 orders per day would require same day turn-around. Total
number of daily incoming orders may vary, from 50 to 300. Size of
incoming orders may vary, from several line items to 60 line items per
order, or more. Standard orders to be shipped via UPS, emergency
orders to go via Federal Express. Speciality items include the
following: Aprons (Urethan/vinyl), Branding Irons, Bump Caps, Car Seals
(Metal and Plastic), Ear Plugs (of various types), Ear Muffs (Sound
Protection), Ear Tags (Metal), Export Stamps, Film, First Aid Kits and
Refill Items (Bandaids, Aspirin, antiseptic ointment, instant cold
packs), Freezer Coats and Vests, Gloves (of various types), Hard-Hat
Helmets and liners, Highway Warning Devices, Lab Cooler-Combo Sets,
Padfolios, Saddlebags, Travel Bags, Plastic Mugs, Lapel Pins), Postage
Stamps (Official Use Only), Respirators, Safety Goggles, and
Wipes(Anti-fog eyeglasses). The contractor shall be responsible for
replenishment of all inventory items, inventory management, and
periodic detailed reports to agency on account activities. All
