The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia i ntends to acquire on a 100% Small Business Set Aside basis, administrative support services for the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC and its branch clinics, all located within the Jacksonville, NC area. These administrative support services comprise the efforts of Medical Clerks and Medical Records Clerks. Medical Clerks shall perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of various medical administrative organizations and functions in a clinical setting. These duties include but are not limited to the following: screen, record and redirect telephone calls; schedule patient appointments; receive, greet and direct patients, visitors and hospital personnel; accurately report and record specific medical information to the professional staff; assemble medical records; arrange transportation/escort for patients requiring assistance; prepare requisitions for diagnostic tests; etc. In addition to the Medical Clerk duties,Medical Records Clerks shall analyze medical records for completeness, consistency, and compliance with requirements; code medical record information and retrieve and compile medical record data. Apply practical knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and internal organization and consistency of military records, medical record references and procedures, and the medical and legal significance of medical records. A Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract is anticipated with a base period of performance commencing 01 October 1999 through 30 September 2000, with four (4), one (1) year option provisions. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with the FAR Subpart 13.5 test program procedures for commercial items.
