This CBD announcement constitutes a Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) of a proposed purchase of parts and equipment for the Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) units for the Theater Deployable Communications, Integrated Communications Access Packages (TDC/ICAP) Program. The Theater Deployable Communications, Integrated Communications Access Packages (TDC/ICAP) is a system designed to provide a local and metropolitan area switched communications fabric for internet protocol, voice, and video data for a deployable, ground-based tactical communications infrastructure. The package is comprised of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) circuit switches, hubs, routers, multiplexers, and encryption devices. Electronic Systems Center (ESC) seeks to procure the following items. The items and quantities are to be acquired and priced under one order (Part numbers are ANICOM designations): Fiber Optic Assembly BX06-Cable 62.5/125 w/ST connectors, Qty 15; patch cord (M-STST-D6-040F ST/ST),Qty 62; patch cord (M-STST-D6-020F ST/ST), Qty 42. ESC proposes to award an order during July 1999 to Anicom, Inc., to acquire the parts and equipment required in support of a previously competitively awarded TDC/ICAP contract. One (1) fiber optic assembly and twenty (20) patch cords (M-STST-D6-040F) will be delivered to Robins AFB, GA. The remainder of the items will be divided evenly between the following seven units: Shaw AFB, SC; Dyess AFB, TX; Elmendorf AFB, AK; Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ; Tinker AFB, OK; RAF Lakenheath Brandon, Suffolk, England; and Cannon AFB, NM. Specific shipping instructions will be provided in the awarded purchase order. FOB point is destination. Delivery is required by 5 August 1999. The proposed contract action is for parts and equipment for the AEF units for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government anticipates award of the order on or about 8 July 1999.
