49 -- V22 SE DATABUS CABLE SETS SOL N68335-99-R-0263 DUE 070899 POC Contracts POC: Cindy Rolenc phone(732)323-2408 fax (732)323-2908 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to negotiate, on a non-competitive basis, with Bunker Sales and Marketing, Inc., Carrolton, TX for enhanced Interface Cable Sets (ICS), P/N 369HN1000, for the V-22 aircraft. The Government intends to award an Indefinite-delivery, Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This firm is considered the only supplier of these services for which they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) with proprietary rights to the required drawings of the equipment already purchased by the Government. The basic required quantity is 6 each new cable sets, 6 each upgrade of existing cable sets and Technical Data, which includes drawings, technical source data (O level manual data), and interim support. Each new cable set will be comprised of approximately 46 cable assemblies that adapt the MIL-STD-1553 Databus on board the MV-22B for network integrity testing using the S2476N Databus Network Tester. The Interface CablesSets provide the electrical and mechanical interfaces between the databus wire harness under test and the databus tester. The set contains all the connectors and cable extensions needed to interface with each MIL-STD-1553 databus stub on the aircraft. All MV-22 prototype ICS delivered under previous contracts, shall be reworked and upgraded to the new MV-22B "enhanced configuration". The "enhanced configuration" includes: additional adapter cables, a Communications Switching Unit adapter for the P2 interface, an Isolator Circuit adapter, and use of super screen twinax cable. Each enhanced set will also come re-organized and packaged in a ruggedized, single military style (MIL-C-4150) or commercial equivalent) transportation case. Delivery of the basic quantity will be NLT 150 days after order is placed. All cable sets will be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
