V -- VIDEO EDITING EQUIPMENT MOVE SOL 105/0266Z/99 DUE 070699 POC Lorrie Powell, 256-313-6466 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), has a requirement to move the entire suite of MSIC's video editing and associated equipment from Building 4505 to Building 4545. Equipment to be moved includes a five rack MATROX video editing suite, an audio console, a two rack video tape duplication system, a sliding tape shelf system, two tape cabinets, 16 video monitors/VCRs (located throughout Building 4505 to be mounted in various locations in Building 4545), a conference room podium system with audio and video equipment, and various loose video-related equipment. Suites or systems in racks or consoles must be disassembled prior to move and reassembled in the new area. Racks and consoles are also included in the equipment to be moved. Due to the age of the connecting wiring of these suites andsystems, extensive new wiring may be required. The main element of the Video Editing Suite of equipment is the MATROX personal producer and associated proprietary hardware and software. This action will be awarded sole-source to Custom Supply of Birmingham, AL, as they are the southeastern authorized MATROX dealer. Custom Supply designed, installed, and subsequently maintained, the equipment to be moved. No RFQs or RFPs will be issued other than this notice.
