Interim Contractor Support (ICS) -- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with the Boeing Company of Seattle, Washington for a two year extension of the period of interim contractor support for the C-40A aircraft from one year to three years. Currently NAVAIR has a contract with the Boeing Company for procurement of a military variant of the 737-700 series aircraft. Because these aircraft are both a next generation aircraft and a military version it is necessary for the OEM to develop the maintenance support plan for the aircraft. The configuration of the aircraft will not be completed in time for the Government to acquire sufficient data to solicit industry for maintenance support.
