The Fleet and Industrial Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a commercial item requirement to procure subscription services for the Nimitz Library at the US Naval Academy, 589 McNair Road, Annapolis, MD, 21402. This will be a firm fixed price contract consisting of a base year, to commence on 01 October 1999 through 30 September 2000, and four option years. The estimated annual requirement is for approximately 1,100 periodicals, journals, serials, newspapers, standing orders, continuations, annuals, and proceedings in support of the Naval Academy's academic programs. Offerors must prove financial capability to perform and must provide indication of experience in the subscription industry. Offerors must be available to perform day to day subscription services and administrative services. Proposals will be evaluated based on lowest cost, technically acceptable and past performance. This contract shall be awarded using the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items procedures located in FAR Part 13.5.
