Hurlburt Field intends to enter into a sole-source contract with Norment Industries, Inc., Trentech Division, 3150 Hayneville Road, Montgomery, AL, 36108, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304(c)(1). This requirement is unrestricted, the SIC is 3577, size standard is 1,000 employees. The government requires purchase of two video badging systems to produce the Air Force 1199 (Air Force Restricted Area Badge), and contractor and visitor badges. Peripheral equipment includes a video camera, PVC printer, paper printer, and monitor. Any system proposed must be compatible with the existing Trentech badging system currently installed. The three systems will be connected via network. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. Firms responding to this synopsis should reference the solicitation number and indicate their business size as defined by FAR 52.219.
