Agricultural Research Service in Albany, CA. has a requirement for a
Biolog Station for rapid identification of bacteria and yeast. The
station is a semi-automatic computerized system for identifying
bacteria and yeast from nature. We intend to isolate a large numbers of
novel strains for identification. This technology is based on the
utilization of carbon sources for identification. The system also
contains a large database to produce dendrogams. The instrument under
consideration utilizes a patented carbon-source utilization technology
which saves researchers time when compared to fermentation of sugar
systems. A solicitation is not available for this notice. Interested
firms are encouraged to submit proposals containing descriptive
