1542. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and
$5,000,000.00. Completion time is 520 calendar days. Work consists of
design and construction of a new, one story, 1,890 square meter
building and demolition of a 3,403 square meter existing building. The
new building will accomodate administrative areas, sleeping areas, and
special functional areas in support of a combined Provost Marshall
Office and Fire Protection Office. Bays will be provided to accommodate
fire, hazardous material response, and ambulance vehicles. All major
components of the facility including functional layout, heating,
air-conditioning, ventilation system, structural system, electrical
communications, and plumbing shall be provided as part of this
design/build contract. The facility is to comply with the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA). Water, sewer, electric and gas are all
located at or near the site. Telecommunications will be provided at a
new manhold adjacent to the site. Site improvements will include
parking for the occupants and apron areas for the emergency vehicles.
Supporting site work includes utilities, roads, walks, curbs and
gutters, paving, and landscaping. The demolished building will include
provision for asbestos and lead paint abatement. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. In order to
comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all
contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration
(CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal Contract. The initial

Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on
the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. The
documents will be released on CD-ROM and will include the technical
