The Flathead National Forest will be advertising an Invitation for Bids for the Construction/Reconstruction of Little Salmon Creek Trail No. 29 on the Spotted Bear Ranger District, Flathead and Missoula Counties, Montana. Work consists of segments of construction and reconstruction work along 10 miles of trail including clearing and grubbing, tread construction/reconstruction, waterbars, check dams, ditches, switchbacks, culverts, and turnpike construction. Some rock blasting will be necessary. This project is located within the Bob Marshall Wilderness area; therefore, motorized equipment shall not be used. Issue date, June 21, 1999. The Notice to Proceed will be issued approximately August 9, 1999, with an estimated completion date of October 1, 1999 for a portion of the trail and August 15, 2001 for the remainder of the project.
