The Navy requires 79 each MK 77 MOD 0 Gas Generators. An option for an additional 149 each Gas Generators will be included. These items will be used in support of submarine acoustic countermeasures. The MK 77 MOD 0 Gas Generator has been certified for military use by the Weapons System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB). The supplies shall be manufactured in accordance with NAVSEA drawings and NSWC Crane Statement of Work. A quantity of eight first articles will be required for any vendor who receives the award. The first article will be subjected to destructive testing and will not be included in the production quantity. Numerous military documents will be included in the requirement, e.g., MIL-I-24768/2, MIL-PRF-81755, Type II-2, MIL-STD-1168, MIL-HDBK-454, etc. Delivery requirements have not been finalized. Inspection and acceptance of the items will take place at origin with the items to be shipped FOB destination to NSWC, Crane, IN. The procurement will be structured for a greatest value award, past performance and price considered. FAR Part 12 procedures will not be used.
