Botella, Point of Contact, (215)233-6551, fax (215) 233-6558 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with PE Biosystems in Foster City, CA to furnish, deliver (F.O.B. Origin), and install at the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center, in Wyndmoor, (Philadelphia), PA, the following BioLIMS Version 2.0 software, four (4) client licenses, and extended warranties. This software will be used to construct a database infrastructure which will support the collection, management and analysis of genetic data generated from the existing PE Biosystems DNA Analyzers currently in operation on a center-wide basis. This software package shall have the capacity to collect, store, and manage PE-ABI DNA sequence and fragment files; locate and track critical data; eliminate scattered and redundant files; manage data across multiple projects; automate data analysis; maintain data security and integrity; reduce labor costs of data analysis and sample rerun. All software shall be Y2K Compliant. A minimum 90-day support warranty is required on the software, updates, technical field/phone support. The software/database shall be 100 percent compatible with all Applied Biosystem DNA Analyzers (i.e., models 3700, 377, 310, 373). The database system shall be capable of being expanded to receive files from more than one PE instrument thus, reducing redundant equipment and software at ERRC. Delivery shall be within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the purchase order. Installation and one-day training are required. One set each of the site preparation manual, users, and software manuals are required. The SIC code is 7372 (NAICS is 51121.) Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and systems' capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of publication of this notice.
