Prisons intends to award a non-personal services contract for
Diagnostic Radiology Services. Services are to be provided for the
Federal Prison Camp & Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.
Duties include: interpret radiographs, perform diagnostic radiology
studies such as flouroscopic studies including UGI's, BE's IVP's, and
special radiographic studies such as ultrasound studies. Services are
to be provided to the male and female inmate population. Due to the
nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of
the institution will be required to submit to security clearances.
Individual must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of medicine
with completion of an AMA approved residency in diagnostic radiology,
and must posess current state licensure, without restrictions. Medical
liability insurance shall be required. This will be a competitive
procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in
the best interest of the Government with price and other factors
considered. Services will be required during the normal work week, with
a minimum of one (1) session per week (1 session = 2 hours) for special
diagnostic studies. The base year of the contract will run for 12
months from the date of award with four (4) one year option periods for
renewal. Anticipated award date is August 9, 1999. It is anticipated
that this solicitation will be mailed approximately June 25, 1999 with
an anticipated due date of July 26, 1999. It is anticipated that this
solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type
contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business
concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
considered for award. Requests for solicitation packages should be
